Professional website development requires a lot more than flashy, brightly colored animations and stock photos. It takes knowledge of high design principles, tried and tested web design, usability studies, new technologies, and good clean code!

Corporate Web Design

An interactive web site must be dynamic, easily updatable, and modifiable framework, not simply a series of interconnected screens. The Jaspersoft site was completely rebuilt in the span of 6 weeks using the power of the Drupal CMS.

Web Applications

During my time at Lumetra, we focused on developing complex user management systems and tools for updating and organizing a calendar of events. These are a few examples of the results.

The Process

Building an interface requires an understanding of the user and their goals. Toward this end, it is helpful to draw a clear model of the people you hope to reach. The next step requires we specify the features and flush them out using wireframes. Once everyone involved is content with the functions presented, the visual design process begins.

Interactive Television

For several years I worked in the field of Interactive Television, where I was given a number of cutting edge design challenges. We created applications that let TV viewers do more then just change channels. They could throw tomatoes at people on the show, or select from a library of on demand videos, or even buy the shirt off the back of a rock star!
